Refund policy

This isn't a typical refund policy because Riveta Labs doesn't offer typical refunds.

We build homework systems that work. If something isn't working, we don't hand you a refund and wish you luck. We keep building at our cost until your system works. Whether you're on the monthly subscription or the 10-Day Sprint, the principle is the same: we finish the job.

This policy covers both the OneTracker monthly subscription ($149/mo) and the 10-Day Sprint ($997). Read the section that applies to your purchase.

1. ONETRACKER SUBSCRIPTION ($149/MONTH)

What You're Purchasing

The OneTracker subscription is a monthly service that includes:

  • Access to the OneTracker homework management platform
  • Automated Canvas LMS syncing and assignment tracking
  • Daily Launch SMS sequences for your teen
  • Priority scoring and "What's Next" task recommendations
  • Scout AI assistant for real-time homework guidance
  • Email Diplomat teacher communication tools
  • Ongoing system optimization and feature updates

This is a recurring subscription, not a one-time purchase. Your card is charged $149 on the same date each month. The subscription auto-renews until you cancel.

Day 14 Checkpoint: Unconditional Refund Window

If your OneTracker system has not been activated within 14 days of your first payment, you are entitled to an unconditional full refund. "Not activated" means you have not completed the onboarding process (connecting your teen's Canvas account and setting up the daily launch routine).

To request a Day 14 refund, email hello@rivetalabs.com with the subject line: "Day 14 Refund Request - [Your Name]". We will process the refund within 5 business days.

If you have completed onboarding and the system is active, the Day 14 unconditional refund does not apply. The Day 30 guarantee below governs instead.

Day 30 Checkpoint: "Homework-Running-or-Free" Guarantee

By Day 30 of your subscription, if you have met the Family Conditions but the Success Criteria have not been achieved, your billing pauses automatically. OneTracker continues running at Riveta Labs' cost until the Success Criteria are met.

This is a service extension, not a refund. Your system keeps running for free. You do not lose access. We do not charge you again until the criteria are met and you confirm you want to continue.

Family Conditions (Your Part)

For the Day 30 guarantee to apply, you must complete all five of the following:

  1. Attend 3 scheduled calls with your Riveta Labs advisor
  2. Respond to check-ins within 12 hours when we reach out about your teen's progress
  3. Run the Daily Launch routine at least 6 days during your first 30 days
  4. Send at least 1 Email Diplomat message to a teacher using the provided script
  5. Complete Brain Station setup by Day 3 (physical workspace: bin, supplies, dedicated homework area)

If you do not meet all five Family Conditions, the Day 30 guarantee does not apply. We cannot build a system you don't use.

Success Criteria (Our Part)

These are the objective, measurable outcomes OneTracker must achieve by Day 30:

  1. Your teen logged 3 or more tasks in the tracker independently (no prompting from you)
  2. At least 1 teacher reply received in response to Email Diplomat outreach
  3. Your teen confirmed launch via SMS at least 3 times
  4. You can run the system in less than 15 minutes per day

Each criterion is documented with timestamps and server logs. No subjective judgment calls.

Cancellation

You may cancel your OneTracker subscription at any time through the billing portal. There is no cancellation fee. Your access continues through the end of your current paid period.

After cancellation takes effect, your account data is retained for 90 days in case you resubscribe. After 90 days, your data is permanently deleted per our Privacy Policy.

Summer Mode

From June through August, your subscription automatically reduces to $49/month. In September, it automatically resumes at $149/month. You will receive email notification before each rate change. You may cancel at any time if you do not wish to continue at either rate.


2. 10-DAY SPRINT ($997)

What You're Purchasing

The 10-Day Sprint is a done-for-you build of custom homework systems. When you enroll, you are purchasing:

Core Service:

  • A done-for-you build of custom homework systems over 10 days
  • 3 scheduled video calls with Jacob (Day 1: 60 min kickoff, Day 5: 15 min midpoint check, Day 10: 30 min handoff)
  • Daily async text check-ins via SMS throughout the Sprint
  • 30 days of post-Sprint support via email/Slack
  • Custom OneTracker automation systems built for your family's specific portals and needs

Digital Components:

  • Access to bonus playbooks (lifetime access, delivered digitally)
  • Priority support enrollment (service tier, not a product)
  • Semester rollover call (service, scheduled when needed)

This is a service engagement, not a software license or digital course. You are paying for Jacob's time, technical expertise, and commitment to build a system that works for your family.

Sprint Guarantee: "Homework-Running-or-Free"

By Day 10 of your Sprint, these four criteria must be met:

  1. Your teen logged 3 or more tasks in the tracker independently (no prompting from you)
  2. At least 1 teacher reply received in response to Email Diplomat scripts
  3. Teen confirmed launch via SMS at least 3 times (texting "start" to begin homework session)
  4. Parent can run the system in less than 15 minutes per day

These are objective, measurable outcomes. Each criterion is documented with timestamps and server logs.

What Happens If Criteria Aren't Met

If we don't hit all four criteria by Day 10: Riveta Labs continues building your systems at no additional cost until all four criteria are met.

This means:

  • Additional check-in calls beyond Day 10 (no charge)
  • System revisions and troubleshooting (no charge)
  • Continued technical support (no charge)
  • No time limit. We work until it's done.

You do not request a refund. You request continued service.

We stay engaged until your system meets the guarantee criteria. Period.

Your Obligations for Sprint Guarantee

The Sprint guarantee requires your participation. If you don't do these things, the guarantee is void:

  1. Attend all 3 scheduled calls (Day 1, Day 5, Day 10). These calls are when we diagnose issues, review progress, and iterate on your system. Missing any scheduled call means we can't build effectively. If you need to reschedule, contact us at least 24 hours in advance.
  2. Respond to daily text check-ins within 12 hours. We send daily SMS check-ins asking about your teen's progress. Your responses give us the data we need to adjust the system. No responses = no data = no way to optimize.
  3. Run the 3-2-1 Launch routine at least 6 days during the Sprint. The system only works if you use it. Six days isn't perfection. It's proof of consistent effort.
  4. Send Email Diplomat script to at least one teacher by Day 4. We provide the script. You send it. This is how we prove teacher communication is working.
  5. Complete Brain Station setup by Day 3. This is the physical setup (bin, supplies, workspace). It takes 10 minutes. If you don't do this, the systems can't function.

If you don't meet these obligations, the guarantee does not apply and no refund or service extension is provided.

Why? Because we can't build a system you don't use. If you pay us but don't participate, that's on you, not us.

Why We Don't Offer Traditional Refunds

Traditional refunds assume the service was delivered and it's the customer's problem if it didn't work. We reject that model.

If your system isn't working by Day 10, it's not done. An unfinished system isn't a delivered service, so the transaction isn't complete. We don't take payment for incomplete work.

Instead of refunding and leaving you with nothing, we finish the job.

This is better for you because:

  • You get the outcome you paid for (a working system)
  • You don't go back to square one searching for another solution
  • You don't waste time dealing with refund disputes
  • Your teen doesn't experience another "tried it and it failed" moment

3. DISQUALIFICATIONS (When Guarantee Doesn't Apply)

The following disqualifications apply to both the OneTracker subscription and the 10-Day Sprint.

A. Active Refusal

If your teen actively refuses to engage with ANY system (not just struggles, but outright refusal), this is a therapeutic issue, not an infrastructure problem. We can't build systems for someone who refuses to participate.

Example of struggle (covered): Teen says "I don't want to" but tries it once.

Example of active refusal (not covered): Teen says "absolutely not" and refuses to look at tracker for 3+ days despite repeated attempts.

If active refusal becomes apparent, we will pause service, notify you, and provide a prorated refund for unused time.

B. Family Emergency or Extenuating Circumstances

If a family emergency, medical issue, or extenuating circumstance prevents you from participating:

  • We will pause your service for up to 60 days
  • If you cannot resume within 60 days, we will provide a prorated refund for unused time
  • Email hello@rivetalabs.com to arrange a pause

We're not robots. Life happens. We'll work with you.

C. Technical Impossibility

If your school's LMS blocks API access, or your teen's device is institutionally locked in a way we cannot bypass, and we determine this within the first 3 days:

  • We will notify you immediately
  • We will provide a full refund within 5 business days
  • No questions asked

This has never happened, but if it does, we'll handle it fairly.

D. Payment Dispute Without Contact

If you file a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company without first contacting us at hello@rivetalabs.com:

  • All services are immediately terminated
  • All access is revoked
  • No further service or refund will be provided
  • We reserve the right to pursue collections for services rendered

Always contact us first. We'll resolve it faster and more fairly than your bank will.


4. DIGITAL COMPONENTS AND BONUS MATERIALS (NO REFUNDS)

The following components are delivered digitally and immediately upon purchase. These are non-refundable:

  • Lifetime Playbook Access (you receive immediate access to all current and future playbooks)
  • Priority Support for Life (service tier is activated immediately)
  • Early Access to New Systems (enrollment is immediate)
  • Personal Slack Channel (access granted Day 1)
  • Semester Rollover Call (scheduled when needed, but benefit is immediate)

Once you receive digital access to these materials, you cannot "un-receive" them. The value has been delivered. Even if you request a service extension, you keep these bonuses.

If you haven't accessed these materials and request a refund within 48 hours of purchase, we will provide a full refund. After 48 hours or after accessing materials, these components are non-refundable.

This section applies to Sprint bonus materials only. Standard OneTracker subscription features are governed by the cancellation terms in Section 1.


5. HOW TO REQUEST SERVICE EXTENSION OR ADDRESS ISSUES

For OneTracker Subscription Issues

If you believe you qualify for a billing pause under the Day 30 guarantee:

  1. Email hello@rivetalabs.com with subject line: "Day 30 Guarantee Review - [Your Name]"
  2. Include which Success Criteria were not met
  3. We will verify Family Conditions and Success Criteria against server logs
  4. If you qualify, billing pauses automatically within 48 hours

For Sprint Extension Requests

If you're on Day 10 and guarantee criteria aren't met:

  1. Email hello@rivetalabs.com with subject line: "Sprint Extension Request - [Your Name]"
  2. Include which criteria were not met (be specific), screenshots showing current status, and your availability for additional check-ins

We will respond within 24 hours with a plan to continue building.

For Issues During Service

  3. We'll troubleshoot on the next check-in or schedule an emergency call if urgent

For Refund Requests Under Section 3 (Disqualifications)

  1. Email hello@rivetalabs.com with subject line: "Refund Request - [Your Name]"
  2. Explain which disqualification applies
  3. Provide supporting information (e.g., family emergency details, evidence of active refusal)
  4. We will review and respond within 48 business hours

Do not file a payment dispute before contacting us. We respond faster than your bank and will resolve issues more fairly.


6. REFUND PROCESSING (When Applicable)

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of approval
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • You will receive email confirmation when the refund is processed

OneTracker Subscription Refunds

Subscription refunds are prorated based on unused days in the current billing period. If you paid $149 for a 30-day period and cancel on Day 10, your refund is approximately $99.33 (20 unused days).

Sprint Prorated Refunds

Sprint prorated refunds are calculated as:

  • Total paid / 40 days (10-day Sprint + 30-day post-Sprint support) x unused days = refund amount
  • Daily rate: $24.93 per day (based on $997 / 40 days)
  • Example: If you complete 5 days and paid $997, prorated refund = $24.93 x 35 unused days = $872.55

7. MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICES

Riveta Labs reserves the right to:

  • Update system-building methods and tools (we use the best available technology)
  • Adjust check-in schedules by mutual agreement (e.g., reschedule a call)
  • Substitute equivalent bonus materials if originals become unavailable
  • Adjust Summer Mode pricing with 30 days notice before the rate change takes effect

We will not reduce the scope of services or remove guaranteed outcomes without your written consent.

If we make changes that materially reduce value, you may request a full refund within 7 days of notification.


8. LEGAL DISCLOSURES

Not Medical or Therapeutic Services

Riveta Labs provides educational coaching and automation systems. We do not provide medical advice, therapy, medication management, or clinical treatment for ADHD, Autism, or any other condition.

If your teen requires therapeutic intervention, we encourage you to seek licensed professionals. Our systems can complement therapy but do not replace it.

Results Not Guaranteed Beyond Criteria

We guarantee the four objective criteria will be met (teen logs tasks, teacher replies, SMS launch confirmations, parent maintenance under 15 min/day). We do NOT guarantee:

  • Your teen's grades will improve (though they often do)
  • All missing assignments will be completed (we triage, not miracle-work)
  • Your teen will suddenly love homework (infrastructure does not equal motivation)
  • Systemic school or family issues will be resolved (we're not therapists)

Our guarantee is about infrastructure, not outcomes beyond the four criteria.

Limitation of Liability

Riveta Labs' total liability for any claim related to the OneTracker subscription is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months. Riveta Labs' total liability for any claim related to the 10-Day Sprint is limited to $997 or the amount you paid, whichever is less.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to: academic consequences, family conflicts, or emotional distress.

This doesn't mean we don't care. It means we can't be sued for your teen's grade in Algebra if they still refuse to study.


9. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

This policy is governed by the laws of Arizona, United States.

Any disputes will be resolved through:

  1. Direct communication (email/call us first)
  2. Mediation (if needed, we'll split the cost)
  3. Binding arbitration in Flagstaff, Arizona (if mediation fails)

You waive the right to jury trial or class action lawsuit by purchasing our services.

If you don't agree to this, don't purchase. Email us to discuss alternatives.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Changes will be posted at rivetalabs.com/policies/refund-policy with an updated "Last Updated" date.

If changes materially reduce your rights:

  • We will email you 30 days before changes take effect
  • You may request a refund if you haven't started your service
  • Changes do not apply retroactively to active subscriptions or Sprints

  • You must participate: Attend all 3 scheduled calls, respond to daily texts within 12 hours, use the systems
  • Digital materials are non-refundable: Once accessed, bonuses can't be returned

Both Products

  • Disqualifications exist: Active refusal, family emergency, technical impossibility, or payment disputes without contact

Our philosophy: We don't take your money for unfinished work. If it's not working, it's not done. We finish the job.
